Bud and Susie Rogers Garden*

This landscape project celebrates the proud rust belt history and the ecological typology of Northeastern Ohio. The design transforms a once cracked asphalt parking area into an accessible and thriving garden space.

Defined terraces each with its own function are connected via a series of accessible rising walkways. Native plants and ornamental grasses provide the plant palette. To the west, a large event space catering to an array of programming, from art installations to concerts. At the higher eastern edge, an exhibition space paved in decomposed granite is planted with a bosque of trees creating a place of refuge. The landscape architect project was completed in 2016.
